A The Department of Life Sciences at the College of Education for Pure Sciences, in collaboration with the Wasit Health Department, organized the seminar. Presented by Mr. Hussein Shawndi Al-Hajj, medical technician Dawood Khudair Mohammed, preventive specialist Rafaa Ghareeb Ubaid, and laboratory technician Ali Adel Ubaid, the seminar aimed to convey positive messages about the importance of the MMR vaccine, and to raise awareness about measles, German measles, and mumps, highlighting the differences between them.

The seminar concluded that vaccination is the optimal solution to control measles infections, and emphasized the importance of health education in controlling the transmission of the disease. It recommended collaboration with mobile health teams and stressed the role of the university in the community as a crucial factor in promoting health awareness among its members, leveraging its communication elements in the society.
